In this third painting exercise from Kory Fluckiger's "Watercolor for the First Time' I changed the colors considerably, and as a result it came out looking extremely green, whereas the tutorial would have produced a painting with more earth tones in the gold range.
I like the difference, and feel I learned more by playing with the colors. I did four exercises in all, one after the other, each taking 15 minutes to 1/2 hour.
